Tail Splitter Tool – Heavy-Duty & Versatile

The Tail Splitter is a heavy-duty tool designed to make splitting tails quick and easy. It’s also strong enough for making opening cuts on deer and other large game. Rinse clean after use. 

 

 

Instruction: 

  1. Remove the tail bone from the pelt.

  2. Lay the tail flat, fur side down.

  3. Line up the Tail Splitter at the base of the tail where it’s already open.

  4. Apply firm and down and out pressure, guide the splitters down the center of the tail.

  5. Continue to the tip until the tail is completely split.


To Make Opening Cuts on Deer or Large Game:

  1. Make an initial skinning incision

  2. Place the tip of the tool at the cut and apply steady down pressure.

  3. Guide it along the hide to open up the body cavity or cape the animal.
